{"id":22493,"date":"2013-07-01T09:09:09","date_gmt":"2013-07-01T13:09:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=22493"},"modified":"2013-07-01T09:09:09","modified_gmt":"2013-07-01T13:09:09","slug":"wright-state-research-leader-plans-to-double-growth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2013\/07\/01\/wright-state-research-leader-plans-to-double-growth\/","title":{"rendered":"Wright State research leader plans to double growth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>Excerpt<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Wright State Research Institute\u2019s new director said he plans to double the organization\u2019s full-time staff and $20 million research portfolio over the next five years.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are going to grow the region by growing ourselves and growing Wright State University,\u201d said Jason Parker, a medical physicist who on May 18 was appointed director of the university\u2019 s research arm.<\/p>\n<p>The institute was founded in 2007 to solve human performance problems for businesses and the U.S. Department of Defense by connecting them with Wright State\u2019s researchers, scientists and resources.
