Jacquemin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A graduate lecturer, teaching assistant and research assistant from Ball State University\u2019s Department of Biology, Jacquemin obtained his Ph.D. from Ball State. His dissertation was titled <em>Spatial, Temporal and Ecological Correlates of Morphological Variation among North American Freshwater Fishes.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Jacquemin worked as a park ranger at Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge in Georgia, where he conducted biological research on long leaf pine and swamp ecosystems. He also attended the Universidad de La Habana, Cuba, where he conducted research on the ecology of Caribbean sharks and rays along the southern continental shelf of Cuba.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_25883\" style=\"width: 224px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2013\/12\/02\/new-instructors-broaden-offerings-at-wright-states-lake-campus\/12631-lake-campus-faculty-staff-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-25883\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25883\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-25883\" src=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2013\/11\/Dave-Benson-22-11-13-214x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"214\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-25883\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Dave Benson<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>CHEMISTRY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>David R. Benson<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A chemistry instructor from the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio, Benson obtained his Ph.D. in physical\/analytical chemistry from Kent State.<\/p>\n<p>He is skilled in the operation of the chemical ionization mass spectrometer, the ultrafine condensation particle counter and the differential mobility analyzer. He has performed kinetic experiments with mass flow controllers and various gas flows.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_25885\" style=\"width: 224px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2013\/12\/02\/new-instructors-broaden-offerings-at-wright-states-lake-campus\/12631-lake-campus-faculty-staff-4\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-25885\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25885\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-25885\" src=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2013\/11\/Rachmadian-Wulandana-07-11-13-214x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"214\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-25885\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Rachmadian Wulandana<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>ENGINEERING<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Rachmadian Wulandana<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wulandana obtained his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and worked as a research associate in the university\u2019s Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering and lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Material Science. He taught undergraduate classes in thermodynamics, statics and thermal system designs and worked at Thar Energy LLC in Pittsburgh as a research scientist investigating the utilization of supercritical CO2 for power production.<\/p>\n<p>Wulandana\u2019s research\u00a0interests range from constitutive modeling and testing of\u00a0biological tissues, such as aneurysm walls and heart valves, and computational modeling of\u00a0complex fluid\u00a0and structural instability as well as designs of thermal devices.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am very pleased to be part of the\u00a0aggressive\u00a0expansion of the Lake Campus, in particular the engineering department,\u201d Wulandana said. \u201cI am actively searching for new research\u00a0topics that are\u00a0strongly relevant to the\u00a0Grand Lake St. Marys restoration\u00a0projects.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_25882\" style=\"width: 224px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2013\/12\/02\/new-instructors-broaden-offerings-at-wright-states-lake-campus\/12631-lake-campus-faculty-staff\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-25882\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25882\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-25882\" src=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2013\/11\/Courtney-Simons-17-11-13-214x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"214\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-25882\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Courtney Simons<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>FOOD SCIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Courtney Simons<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Simons obtained his Ph.D. in cereal science from North Dakota State University, where he conducted research on properties of edible beans, and taught classes in food science as a graduate research assistant. Before coming to the United States, he served the food industry in Jamaica for 12 years in numerous roles involving capacity building, technology transfer, private consulting and vocational training.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am excited to be placed at the Lake Campus, which is nested in a region that has enormous opportunities for growth in food manufacturing,\u201d Simons said. \u201cI think my diverse training and background in food science, plus experience working to build capacity in cottage-scale and large food manufacturing, has positioned me to make a big difference here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_25886\" style=\"width: 224px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2013\/12\/02\/new-instructors-broaden-offerings-at-wright-states-lake-campus\/12631-lake-campus-faculty-staff-5\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-25886\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25886\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-25886\" src=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2013\/11\/Teresa-Richter-51--214x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"214\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-25886\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Teresa Richter<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>GRAPHIC DESIGN<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Teresa L. Richter<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Richter has been teaching since 2008 in the Graphic Design-IT program at Wright State\u2019s Lake Campus and is currently the instructor for the Graphic Design and Visual Media program. She has degrees from Kansas State University\u2014a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Science in curriculum and instruction specializing in educational computing, design and online learning.<\/p>\n<p>Richter has 23 years of extensive experience in various graphic software and visual media technologies and has done workforce training and instructional design for private business. Last June, she assisted the Wright State graphic design student who won the grand prize in the Graphic Arts Education and Research Foundation\u2019s national graphic design competition.<\/p>\n<p>Richter believes that integrating the classroom with community design projects is a prime instructional way of giving\u00a0independent\u00a0design capability to students.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_25884\" style=\"width: 224px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2013\/12\/02\/new-instructors-broaden-offerings-at-wright-states-lake-campus\/12631-lake-campus-faculty-staff-3\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-25884\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25884\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-25884\" src=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2013\/11\/Megan-Faracher-36-11-13-214x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"214\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-25884\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Megan Faragher<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>LITERATURE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Megan L. Faragher<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Faragher was a post-doctoral fellow in East Tennessee State University\u2019s Department of Literature &amp; Language, obtaining her Ph.D. in English with a concentration in modern British and Irish literature from University at Buffalo (SUNY).<\/p>\n<p>Faragher\u2019s teaching and scholarly interests include modern British and Anglophone literature, World War II literature, British and Irish women writers and media and propaganda studies. She is currently working on a manuscript titled <em>Forms of Persuasion, Cultural Memory and Authority in British and Irish Writing and Culture, 1922-1955.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am really interested in the way persuasion influences literary works, and hope to bring that into the classroom by incorporating historical documents that show attitudes towards various political and social problems,\u201d Faragher said. \u201cMy own work centers on the 20th century, but I&#8217;m looking forward to showing students \u2018living\u2019 literature in a variety of periods, incorporating newspapers, periodicals, films and radio broadcasts from the period into the classroom.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Christine R. Wilson<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An assistant professor of English and co-director of the Student Success Center, Wilson obtained her Ph.D. in English at Michigan State University.<\/p>\n<p>Courses she has taught include Academic Reading &amp; Writing, Great Books, Introduction to Poetry Writing, Ecofeminism and Introduction to Women\u2019s Studies. She is also writing a novel titled <em>White Witch: Book 1 of the Lost Colony Trilogy.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>SOCIOLOGY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Giovanna Follo<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An assistant professor of sociology from Emporia State University in Emporia, Kan., Follo obtained her Ph.D. from Wayne State University.<\/p>\n<p>Follo has taught courses such as Foundations of Sociological Theory, Global Women\u2019s Health, Introduction to Criminology, Introduction to Marriage and the Family, Medical Sociology, Political Sociology, Popular Culture, Race and Ethnicity, Sociology of Food, Sociology of Gender and Sociology of Death and Dying.
