She spoke on \u201cThe Global Impact of Nursing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Candy Cherrington<\/strong>, nursing and health, will present \u201cComparison of upper arm and forearm blood pressure cuff placement in an Intensive Care Unit\u201d at Sigma Theta Tau International\u2019s 22nd International Nursing Research Congress to be held in Cancun, Mexico, in July 2011. She will be presenting with Sieglinde Ewing, one of Wright State\u2019s RN-to-BSN graduates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Perla Ilagan<\/strong>, nursing and health, will present \u201cPerceptions of Filipino women and men on intimate partner violence\u201d at Sigma Theta Tau International\u2019s 22nd International Nursing Research Congress to be held in Cancun, Mexico, in July 2011.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anne Russell<\/strong>, nursing and health, was elected to the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists\u2019 Nominating Committee. Her term began March 11, 2011.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ann Stalter and Kim Ringo<\/strong>, nursing and health, participated in the Quality and Safety Education in Nursing Education Consortium Institute in Chicago, Illinois. The initiative is funded by The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation \u201cto provide full-time faculty in all types of entry-level programs with the skills, knowledge, and resources to educate nursing students to deliver high-quality and safe nursing care.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Detrice Barry<\/strong>, nursing and health, had her abstract, \u201cUsing robots and simulators for bleeding disorder education,\u201d accepted for poster presentation at the 2011 Midwest Nursing Research Society Annual Conference in Columbus, Ohio.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kristine Scordo, nursing and health, was selected for induction into the Fellows of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
