These Wright State students spent Spring Break seeking competition and a memorable time.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2015\/03\/Tori-Turner.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-35881\" src=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2015\/03\/Tori-Turner-260x260.jpg\" alt=\"Tori Turner playing tennis\" width=\"260\" height=\"260\" \/><\/a>Tori Turner, sophomore, rehabilitation services major<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Wright State women\u2019s tennis team headed down to North and South Carolina for matches last week. We beat Western Carolina 4-3 and beat North Greenville 7-0. &#8230; Although the weather has been rainy most days, I wouldn\u2019t want to be anywhere else for Spring Break because this trip is making our women\u2019s and men\u2019s tennis team so much better. It is bringing us closer to accomplishing our goal of winning conference. By the end of the week we were undefeated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2015\/03\/Dylan-Dohner.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-35876\" src=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2015\/03\/Dylan-Dohner-260x260.jpg\" alt=\"Dylan Dohner\" width=\"260\" height=\"260\" \/><\/a>Dylan Dohner, senior, English major<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cBetween the Air Force museum, the Funny Bone comedy club and sledding on a few hills close to my house, it&#8217;s been a good time. I actually do feel ready for school. I usually do when we&#8217;ve got extended breaks like these, because they&#8217;re something to get me moving and keep me on track, which I prefer to just sitting around. We went sledding at that hill close to the Province. &#8230; We had to call it quits early though since the temperatures were still a little unforgiving. And the museum was great too. &#8230; I love the vastness of those hangars and all the planes and stuff you get to see inside.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2015\/03\/Jordan-Whitaker.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-35878\" src=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2015\/03\/Jordan-Whitaker-260x260.jpg\" alt=\"Jordan Whitaker\" width=\"260\" height=\"260\" \/><\/a>Jordan Whitaker, sophomore, mass communications major<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOver Spring Break I had cheer practices and supported the women\u2019s basketball team for their games. \u2026 I didn\u2019t really have a Spring Break \u2014\u00a0all I did was practice for nationals for cheer all week.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Working:<\/strong> Everyone can relate with these dedicated students who spent the majority of their break dedicating their time to furthering their careers and education.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2015\/03\/Cassidy-Boyer.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-35875\" src=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2015\/03\/Cassidy-Boyer-260x259.jpg\" alt=\"Cassidy Boyer\" width=\"260\" height=\"259\" \/><\/a>Cassidy Boyer, senior, mass communications major<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have two jobs so I\u2019ve been working all \u2018break.\u2019 I run Wright State\u2019s College of Liberal Arts\u2019 social media and am a breaking news intern with Cox Media.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2015\/03\/zach-moore.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-35883\" src=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2015\/03\/zach-moore-260x260.jpg\" alt=\"zach moore\" width=\"260\" height=\"260\" \/><\/a>Zach Moore, graduate student, humanities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve spent my entire break working on my master\u2019s thesis while trying to stay warm. I\u2019ve also been able to catch up with old friends which I haven\u2019t seen for a couple of years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2015\/03\/Matt-Buford.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-35879\" src=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2015\/03\/Matt-Buford-260x260.jpg\" alt=\"Matt Buford\" width=\"260\" height=\"260\" \/><\/a>Matthew Buford, junior, geography major<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI haven&#8217;t really done much over this break except for working at Panera and sleeping. However this week, I started working with a representative of Color My College as a part of my organization, The Raider Rowdies, to promote Wright State&#8217;s first 5k Color Run.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nRelaxed:<\/strong> College students experience heavy loads of homework, weekly tests, quick deadlines and lots of stress. These students took time to enjoy a slower pace by relaxing and spending time with family.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2015\/03\/Adrienne-Lohr.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-35874\" src=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2015\/03\/Adrienne-Lohr-260x260.jpg\" alt=\"Adrienne Lohr\" width=\"260\" height=\"260\" \/><\/a>Adrienne Lohr, junior, mass communications major<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll I&#8217;m really doing is spending time with friends and binge watching \u2018Parks and Recreation\u2019 on Netflix.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2015\/03\/Elijah-Boyes.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-35877\" src=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2015\/03\/Elijah-Boyes-260x260.jpg\" alt=\"Elijah Boyes\" width=\"260\" height=\"260\" \/><\/a>Elijiah Boyes, freshman, accounting major<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy first day off for spring break I slept for 13 hours straight. School gets kind of crazy so I&#8217;m embracing the time that I get to spend with my family. That&#8217;s about it! That and finally studying.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2015\/03\/Stephanie-Guthrie.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-35880\" src=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2015\/03\/Stephanie-Guthrie-260x260.jpg\" alt=\"Stephanie Guthrie\" width=\"260\" height=\"260\" \/><\/a>Stephanie Guthrie, sophomore, international studies major<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOver Spring Break I got a puppy. Her name is June and she is a black lab shepherd mix. She is very playful and loving. I have also been working and sleeping a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Wright State students have a diverse range of Spring Break stories that include relaxing, working and being adventurous or a mix of all three.
