Wright State\u2019s former First Lady Shelley Goldenberg, a preschool educator deeply involved with committees and activities at the university, was named among the 2015 Women of Valor by Beth Abraham Sisterhood.<\/p>\n

Mrs. Goldenberg and six other honorees were recognized for their generosity of heart that supports Beth Abraham\u2019s commitment to foster social action and remain a vital force in the community. The seven were honored at a May 6 luncheon.<\/p>\n

Mrs. Goldenberg has served on Wright State advisory boards, including the Organization for Women Steering Committee and Public Art on Campus Committee. She has volunteered for precollege Camp Discovery and facilitated a move of the Dayton Holocaust Resource Center<\/a> to campus. For Jewish Women\u2019s History Month, she organized a university program on water rituals that featured multicultural speakers.<\/p>\n

A lover of dance and the arts, having extensive training herself, Mrs. Goldenberg spearheaded a fundraiser between the Dayton Ballet and the Wright State Alumni Association and currently serves on Wright State\u2019s ArtsGala<\/a> committee.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
