Retired Lt. Gen. C.D. Moore II<\/p><\/div>\n

Ohio Gov. John Kasich has appointed a new trustee to the Wright State University Board of Trustees.<\/p>\n

Retired Lt. Gen. C.D. Moore II, previous commander of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, is the newest trustee to join the nine-member board.<\/p>\n

Moore currently serves as executive vice president and part owner\/trustee for Dayton Aerospace Inc., a consulting firm headquartered in the Dayton region.<\/p>\n

Moore will begin his term July 1 and replaces Vishal Soin, who completes his term June 30.<\/p>\n

As a recently retired lieutenant general from the USAF, Moore has over 34 years of experience leading large organizations and complex aerospace programs using his acquisition, test and operations expertise.<\/p>\n

As the first commander of the AFLCMC, Moore built a new organization responsible for cradle-to-grave management of nearly all USAF aircraft, engines, munitions and electronic\/cyber systems.<\/p>\n

Moore has served as a T-38 instructor pilot, an operational F-15 pilot and as an experimental test pilot. He also served as commander of the first F-22 squadron as well as a group commander at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, Materiel Wing director of the F-16 System Program Office, Materiel Wing commander of the F-22 System Program Office and Vice Commander of the Aeronautical Systems Center.<\/p>\n

He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the USO of Central\/Southern Ohio, the Board of Directors for the Air Force Museum Foundation, the Board of Directors for the Dayton Art Institute and on the Ex Officio Board for Dayton Defense.<\/p>\n

Moore holds an M.S. in aeronautical engineering from Columbia University, an M.S. in national resource strategy from The Industrial College of the Armed Forces (National Defense University), a B.S. in aeronautical engineering and a B.S. in political science both of which are from the United States Air Force Academy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
