src=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2014\/01\/UCIE-logo1-260x204.jpg\" alt=\"UCIE logo\" width=\"260\" height=\"204\" \/><\/a>International literature, lectures, food and performances will be part of celebrating International Education Week at Wright State University on Nov. 16-20.<\/p>\n<p>The celebration is coordinated nationally by a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of Education and on the Wright State campus by the Wright State <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wright.edu\/ucie\/\">University Center for International Education<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is an effort to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences in the United States,\u201d said UCIE Director Michelle Streeter-Ferrari.<\/p>\n<p>Activities include lectures on ways to welcome and mentor international students, careers in international education and development of education in the Middle Eastern African nation of Kuwait.<\/p>\n<p>Events also include a photo contest and display, a cheese, bread and grape juice tasting hosted by the French Club and discussion of \u201cThe Cellist of Sarajevo,\u201d a powerful novel about the war in Bosnia told through the eyes of civilians and soldiers in the besieged city of Sarajevo.<\/p>\n<p>Wright State students, faculty, staff and alumni will also be able to take part in a photo contest in the categories of landscapes, portraits and cultural depictions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday, Nov. 16<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kickoff party with the Zuzu African Acrobats, who were featured on \u201cAmerica\u2019s Got Talent,\u201d 12:30-2 p.m., Student Union Atrium<\/p>\n<p>Common Text: \u201cThe
