{"id":39025,"date":"2015-11-20T08:59:09","date_gmt":"2015-11-20T13:59:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=39025"},"modified":"2015-11-20T08:59:09","modified_gmt":"2015-11-20T13:59:09","slug":"adapted-recreation-program-keeps-rolling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2015\/11\/20\/adapted-recreation-program-keeps-rolling\/","title":{"rendered":"Adapted Recreation program keeps rolling"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thanks to donations, Wright State University&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wright.edu\/campus-recreation\/adapted-recreation\">Adapted Recreation program<\/a>\u00a0purchased\u00a0new wheelchairs for students to use in its intramural program.<\/p>\n<p>The new wheelchairs replaced wheelchairs that were destroyed in a fire last spring.<\/p>\n<p>Adapted Recreation&#8217;s\u00a0intramural program takes place every Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Student Union gym.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a great way to come together and make friendships whether you\u2019re disabled or not,\u201d said Jacob Huff, an intramural participant.<\/p>\n<p>Students in power and sport wheelchairs engage in friendly but competitive battles, stopping only to change games.
