{"id":39275,"date":"2015-12-11T14:48:22","date_gmt":"2015-12-11T19:48:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=39275"},"modified":"2015-12-11T14:55:35","modified_gmt":"2015-12-11T19:55:35","slug":"wright-state-holds-another-successful-toy-drive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2015\/12\/11\/wright-state-holds-another-successful-toy-drive\/","title":{"rendered":"Wright State holds another successful toy drive"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wright State students, faculty and staff donated hundreds of toys and other items for needy children in Montgomery and Greene counties during the university&#8217;s annual Christmas for Kids gift drive.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wright.edu\/weserveu\/\">We Serve U<\/a> organized the two-week drive on campus and collected the gifts from 18 barrels that were placed around campus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s in the mission statement to help the communities that we serve,\u201d said Joanie Hendricks, co-chair of We Serve U. \u201cWe are just shocked how generous the Wright State community is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For Love Of Children (FLOC) will distribute the toys from its North Ludlow Street office in Dayton.
