Hanks and Amanda Wright Lane, great grandniece of the Wright brothers, are co-chairs of <a href=\"http:\/\/rise.shine.wright.edu\/\">Rise. Shine. The Campaign for Wright State University<\/a>, a $150 million fundraising campaign that promises to further elevate Wright State\u2019s prominence by expanding scholarships, attracting more top-flight faculty and supporting construction of state-of-the-art facilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWright State is training the artists of tomorrow. The popular black-tie-optional ArtsGala is regarded as one of the area\u2019s premier arts events, drawing nearly 800 patrons each year.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our students are eager to showcase their tremendous skills to our community at ArtsGala 2016,\u201d said Kristin Sobolik, dean of the <a href=\"http:\/\/liberal-arts.wright.edu\/\">College of Liberal Arts<\/a>. \u201cThis year will be particularly special as we unveil the brand-new addition to our world class Creative Arts Center, which includes a two-story art gallery and dance and stage combat studios. This additional space will offer guests even more venues to enjoy our amazingly talented fine and performing arts students.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This year is ArtsGala\u2019s 17th anniversary celebration with many special events designed to celebrate the occasion.<\/p>\n<p>Features this year include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wind Symphony, featuring &#8220;Stars and Stripes Forever&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Selections from our spring musical, &#8220;The Music Man&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Live artistic creation by student artists<\/li>\n<li>Student film festival<\/li>\n<li>Chamber orchestra<\/li>\n<li>Opera performances<\/li>\n<li>Dance performances<\/li>\n<li>Five themed dining rooms<\/li>\n<li>Cigar tent<\/li>\n<li>Top-quality wine, bourbon and craft beer tastings<\/li>\n<li>Martini lounge featuring music and dancing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A silent auction will offer over 100 items for bidding, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Artwork by Wright State faculty, students and alumni<\/li>\n<li>Wide variety of wines<\/li>\n<li>Assortment of luxury gift baskets, gift cards and dining certificates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ArtsGala\u2019s presenting sponsors are Barnes &amp; Noble at Wright State and Morris Home Furnishings.
