But she&#8217;s still made a significance difference on the Raiders.<\/p>\n<p>Emma Bush, a junior at Bethel High School in Tipp City, played softball most of her life until she was sidelined with a broken wrist and was unable to walk after her surgery. Bush was diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel like I\u2019m on a team again, and it\u2019s such an awesome experience,\u201d said Bush.<\/p>\n<p>Last November, Bush signed an official contract and national letter of intent to join the Wright State softball team through Team Impact, which places courageous kids with collegiate athletic teams.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHaving Emma here has been great for our team,\u201d Alexis Mayle, a junior who plays first base.<\/p>\n<p>The Raiders, who are 33-20 overall and in first place in the Horizon League, close out the regular season at home May 6-7 versus Valparaiso.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Wright State softball team\u2019s most impactful player hasn\u2019t appeared in game this spring.
