One by one the trunks of their cars were filled with vegetables that were grown by Ohio farmers.<\/p>\n<p>The Dayton Foodbank provided the produce, Caresource the volunteers and Wright State\u2019s Nutter Center the venue. This was the second straight year that Wright State welcomed the Dayton Foodbank\u2019s distribution pick up in Greene County.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe always want to be a part in the community,\u201d said Jim Brown, the Nutter Center\u2019s executive director.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWright State University along with the Nutter Center folks have been so generous and they let us take over their parking lot for a few hours,\u201d said Lora Davenport, Dayton Foodbank community relations manager.<\/p>\n<p>The Dayton Foodbank serves as the primary source of food for the hunger relief network in the Miami Valley.<\/p>\n<p>The event distributed 48,200 pounds of fresh produce to 484 families and 1,713 individuals.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re a Wright State student in a food crisis, the university\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wright.edu\/student-affairs\/resources-and-services\/friendship-food-pantry\">Friendship Food Pantry<\/a> can be of assistance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Four hundred families filed into the Wright State University Nutter Center parking lot.
