The film was produced and directed by John Michalczyk, professor and director of film studies at Boston College.<\/p>\n<p>Michalczyk has published several books, including \u201cFilming the End of the Holocaust: Allied Documentaries\u201d and \u201cNuremberg and the Liberation of the Concentration Camps.\u201d He also has produced 22 films, including \u201cWriting on the Wall: Remembering the Berlin Wall,\u201d \u201cThe Cross and the Star: Jews, Christians and the Holocaust\u201d and \u201cCreating Harmony: The Displaced Persons Orchestra from St. Ottilien.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Felix Weil, a Holocaust survivor who was put on the Kindertransport as a child, never to see his family again, will give a talk following the film.<\/p>\n<p>Following Weil\u2019s talk, medical students will discuss the topic, \u201cShould we use Pernkopf&#8217;s anatomy atlas?\u201d The seven-volume atlas produced by artists who were ardent Nazis is considered a scientific and artistic masterpiece, but it has been surrounded by controversy over the question of whether some of the figures shown in the paintings were Holocaust victims.<\/p>\n<p>The Wright State University Medicine and the Holocaust Community Seminar and Film series is an outgrowth of the <a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2015\/12\/08\/ashes-to-action\/\">Medicine and the Holocaust course<\/a> for fourth-year students at the Boonshoft School of Medicine.<\/p>\n<p>The event is free and open to the public.
