{"id":42891,"date":"2016-10-25T13:15:50","date_gmt":"2016-10-25T17:15:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=42891"},"modified":"2016-10-25T13:15:50","modified_gmt":"2016-10-25T17:15:50","slug":"friendship-food-pantry-hopes-to-collect-5000-items","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2016\/10\/25\/friendship-food-pantry-hopes-to-collect-5000-items\/","title":{"rendered":"Friendship Food Pantry hopes to collect 5,000 items"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wright.edu\/student-affairs\/resources-and-services\/friendship-food-pantry\">Wright State Friendship Food Pantry<\/a> hopes to collect 5,000 items during a donation drive this week.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, students, faculty and staff donated 3,000 food items for the pantry\u2019s Rowdy 500 donation drive, inspiring the organization to aim higher.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year we called it Rowdy 5000 in hopes of getting 5000 items,\u201d said Mary Case, the coordinator of the pantry.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, the Friendship Food Pantry served over 774 students in the pantry, which is located at 134 Allyn Hall.<\/p>\n<p>This year the pantry is on track to serve even more students.<\/p>\n<p>The campus-wide food drive runs through\u00a0Oct. 29.<\/p>\n<p>Non-perishable items can be dropped off in donation boxes around campus.
