Tickets are not required.<\/p>\n<p>More than 1,150 students will graduate in the fall class of 2016 and another 672 from the summer class. The fall class includes graduates with 748 bachelor\u2019s degrees and 384 master\u2019s as well those awarded associate degrees and post-master\u2019s certificates.<\/p>\n<p>The fall class features graduates from 47 Ohio counties, including 727 from the 16 counties anchored by Wright State\u2019s Dayton and Lake campuses. Graduates hail from 22 total states.<\/p>\n<p>The class also includes 234 international students from 16 nations, with India boasting the largest number of foreign graduates with 133.<\/p>\n<p>The graduating students from the fall class range in age from 20 to 62.<\/p>\n<p>Graduates by college:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>College of Education and Human Services: 186<\/li>\n<li>College of Engineering and Computer Science: 298<\/li>\n<li>College of Liberal Arts: 169<\/li>\n<li>College of Nursing and Health: 116<\/li>\n<li>College of Science and Mathematics: 171<\/li>\n<li>Raj Soin College of Business: 167<\/li>\n<li>School of Professional Psychology: 17<\/li>\n<li>Lake Campus: 28<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The ceremony will be broadcast live on WSU-TV on Time Warner Cable channel 5.105 in the university dorms and Fairborn and regionally on AT&amp;T Uverse channel 99 in the Dayton tab.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony can also be seen online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wright.edu\/streaming\">wright.edu\/streaming<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Notable graduates<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Hunter Cregger<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_43463\" style=\"width: 216px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2016\/12\/12\/more-than-1150-to-graduate-at-wright-states-fall-commencement-ceremony\/hunter-cregger-18369_006\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-43463\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-43463\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-43463\" src=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2016\/12\/Hunter-Cregger-18369_006-206x300.jpg\" alt=\"Hunter Cregger majored in accountancy.\" width=\"206\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-43463\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Hunter Cregger majored in accountancy.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>As a young boy, Hunter Cregger and his family lived in five different states to follow his father\u2019s career in retailing. They finally settled in Lebanon, Ohio, where Cregger has spent the past 15 years.<\/p>\n<p>When Cregger first arrived at Wright State, as a first-generation college student, he was majoring in computer science. He later learned that his personality and people skills were better suited to <a href=\"https:\/\/business.wright.edu\/accountancy\">accounting<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s much more than a person wearing a visor and crunching numbers in some back room,\u201d he said. \u201cWhen I did an internship in accounting, I had to interview engineers and all these different kinds of people to figure out what kind of research they do and make sure they qualified for these tax credits.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cregger is an honors student, graduating in the top 10 percent of his high school class and achieving the highest level of honors distinction at Wright State by taking six honors classes and doing a research project. He carries a 3.8 GPA.<\/p>\n<p>Cregger interned in the Cincinnati office of the Plante Moran certified public accounting and business advisory firm. He plans to work at Plante Moran following graduation and hopes to one day be a partner at the firm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aliane Kubwimana <\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_43462\" style=\"width: 234px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2016\/12\/12\/more-than-1150-to-graduate-at-wright-states-fall-commencement-ceremony\/17950_aliane-kubwimana-9-16\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-43462\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-43462\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-43462\" src=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2016\/12\/17950_Aliane-Kubwimana-9-16-224x300.jpg\" alt=\"Aliane Kubwimana majored in organizational leadership with minors in biology and public health.\" width=\"224\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-43462\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Aliane Kubwimana majored in organizational leadership with minors in biology and public health.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Aliane Kubwimana\u2019s parents are Rwandan, but she was born in Tanzania. The family moved to the United States when she was an infant and she grew up in the Dayton area. Her father works in patient care at Kettering Hospital and her mother operates her own business, selling African food and other items.<\/p>\n<p>Kubwimana arrived at Wright State in the fall of 2013 and entered the Honors Program and Pre-Health Program. She <a href=\"http:\/\/education-human-services.wright.edu\/leadership-studies-in-education-and-organizations\/programs\/bachelor-of-science-in-organizational-leadership\">majored in organizational leadership<\/a> with minors in <a href=\"http:\/\/science-math.wright.edu\/biology\">biology<\/a> and public health. She also has a certificate in African-American gender experiences.<\/p>\n<p>Kubwimana is vice president of the Dean&#8217;s Advisory Council in the <a href=\"http:\/\/education-human-services.wright.edu\/\">College of Education and Human Services<\/a>. In addition, she works at the campus Fitness Center as a group fitness instructor and served as president of major events for the University Activities Board, leadership consultant for the Office of Student Activities and president of the African Student Union.<\/p>\n<p>She is leaning toward a career in health care management with a hospital, nonprofit or government agency.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy passions are leadership, health and service,\u201d she said. \u201cI think health care management marries those passions very well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kubwimana\u2019s career decision was affected by overseas experiences in Tanzania and more recently in the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were actually in the Dominican Republic seeing conditions these people were living in and their limited access to health care,\u201d she said. \u201cThat\u2019s what really opened my eyes. I could be facilitating physicians and helping them reach many people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pradeep Paladugula<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_43464\" style=\"width: 226px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2016\/12\/12\/more-than-1150-to-graduate-at-wright-states-fall-commencement-ceremony\/pradeep-paladugula-18397-009\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-43464\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-43464\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-43464\" src=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2016\/12\/Pradeep-Paladugula-18397-009-216x300.jpg\" alt=\"Pradeep Paladugula will graduate with a master\u2019s degree in electrical engineering.\" width=\"216\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-43464\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Pradeep Paladugula will graduate with a master\u2019s degree in electrical engineering.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Pradeep Paladugula grew up in Karnataka, India. Although he currently speaks five languages, he wrestled with English when he arrived in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe language barrier was a major drawback for me at first,\u201d he said. \u201dI could read and\u00a0write, but I struggled to communicate with others, which affected how I interacted with people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While at Wright State, Paladugula sharpened his English-speaking skills by waking up early, reading newspapers and compiling a vocabulary list. He also practiced speaking English at Wright State\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wright.edu\/international-education\">University Center for International Education<\/a>, where he volunteered and later became the international check-in coordinator. He was also president of the center\u2019s International Cultural Exchange, which exposes international students to American culture and fosters friendships between international students and their American counterparts.<\/p>\n<p>While in India, Paladugula played organized competitive volleyball at a high level and later became a member of Wright State\u2019s first men\u2019s volleyball club. He is also in Student Government, a member of the Student Conduct Panel and a brother in the Beta Phi Omega fraternity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt every stage of my accomplishments, I was developing new qualities,\u201d he said. \u201cThe person who arrived at Wright State had no personal-development skills, but the person going out has a lot of them. I had a lot of opportunities and support at Wright State.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Paladugula will receive his <a href=\"https:\/\/engineering-computer-science.wright.edu\/electrical-engineering\">master\u2019s degree in electrical engineering<\/a> and has a 3.0 GPA. He and research partner Agasthya Ayachit are writing a journal on \u201cflyback converters\u201d under adviser Mariam K. Kazimierczuk.<\/p>\n<p>Paladugula says he is grateful for the research opportunities at Wright State and the work ethic the university instilled in him.
