{"id":44125,"date":"2017-02-23T09:09:30","date_gmt":"2017-02-23T14:09:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=44125"},"modified":"2017-02-23T15:19:10","modified_gmt":"2017-02-23T20:19:10","slug":"good-samaritans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2017\/02\/23\/good-samaritans\/","title":{"rendered":"Good Samaritans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When players on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsuraiders.com\/SportSelect.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=27000&amp;SPID=92415&amp;SPSID=630834&amp;DB_OEM_ID=27000\">Wright State men\u2019s basketball team<\/a> laced up their sneakers to play the visiting Titans from Detroit, their coach Scott Nagy arrived barefoot.<\/p>\n<p>By coaching a game without shoes, Nagy raised awareness for Samaritan\u2019s Feet, a global humanitarian organization that provides shoes for children all over the world.<\/p>\n<p>This was the ninth year that Nagy coached a game barefoot. \u201cThere are so many third world countries where children are running around with no shoes,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>To help Haiti, his adopted daughter Naika\u2019s home country, Nagy thought Samaritan\u2019s Feet would be a perfect fit.
