\"\"<\/a>Wright State University will provide support and resources to employees whose jobs are eliminated as part of the university’s efforts to balance its fiscal year 2018 budget.<\/p>\n

Wright State employees impacted by personnel changes can expect to be notified starting the week of June 12<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The fiscal year 2018 budget, which begins July 1, will include significant cuts to Wright State personnel and operations. The Board of Trustees<\/a> will vote on the budget at its public budget workshop on June 8.<\/p>\n

Wright State Human Resources<\/a> will offer flexible coaching for displaced employees. The department’s goal is to provide departing employees guidance and support that aligns with their career paths and interests.<\/p>\n

The university will host a career expo on Tuesday, June 27, for employees whose jobs are eliminated. Human Resources will match employees with local companies and higher education employers in need of the workers’ skills or experience.<\/p>\n

The expo will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2455 Presidential Drive.<\/p>\n

Businesses interested in participating in the career expo should contact Jennifer Kostic at 937-775-2919 or jennifer.kostic@wright.edu<\/a> by June 16.<\/p>\n

The university will continue to provide tuition remission for displaced\u00a0employees and their immediate dependents for two years following their separation date from the university.<\/p>\n

Human Resources will also provide counseling, resume reviews, interviewing critiques and skills assessment to employees whose jobs are eliminated.<\/p>\n

Employees losing their jobs will be able to use work time to seek other job opportunities.<\/p>\n

Human Resources will provide free career management sessions for impacted employees with Lee Hecht Harrison<\/a>, a leading career transition and outplacement solutions firm.<\/p>\n

Human Resources is also offering regular services to all university employees during this transition period, including: free counseling sessions, workplace and personal development sessions through the IMPACT Solutions Faculty and Staff Assistance Program<\/a>; and Tai Chi, meditation and self-regulation and relaxation techniques with Employee Wellness<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Human Resources has developed workshops for community members on resilience, change management, team building and coaching. Workshops can be requested through your dean or vice president’s office to your respective HR business partner.<\/p>\n
