{"id":46294,"date":"2017-06-22T09:30:53","date_gmt":"2017-06-22T13:30:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=46294"},"modified":"2017-07-18T10:31:41","modified_gmt":"2017-07-18T14:31:41","slug":"all-business-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2017\/06\/22\/all-business-2\/","title":{"rendered":"All business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>High school juniors and seniors learned what it\u2019s like to work in the field of business during a residential camp hosted by Wright State\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/business.wright.edu\/\">Raj Soin College of Business<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The five-day camp provided an experiential learning environment that helped students explore their interests in business.<\/p>\n<p>Students learned skills in economics, accounting, marketing, finance, management, information systems management and entrepreneurship. Students also participated in campus activities and networked with students from other schools across the region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEveryone here was amazing,\u201d said Anya Barrera, a high school junior from Beavercreek.<\/p>\n<p>Students work closely with the College of Business\u00a0faculty, staff, students and local business executives. \u201cIt just means a lot that we get to interact with the students and try to help them learn about business,\u201d said Jonah Sandler, CEO of Scene 75, this year\u2019s host company.<\/p>\n<p>Students are divided into teams with a business student-coach and work on real-world business challenges. Each team has a different business problem to solve.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the camp, local business professionals judge team presentations and solutions.
