As the fall semester begins Wright State University has taken steps to make it easier for students, faculty and staff to drive on and off campus.<\/p>\n
Students, faculty and staff have seen a noticeable presence of attendants directing traffic during the first several days of the fall semester. Numerous parking attendants and Wright State police officers have been present in parking lots to improve the flow of traffic and help drivers locate parking lots that have available parking spaces.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want the first two weeks to be as easy flowing and as painless as possible for everybody coming onto campus,\u201d said Joe Dick,\u00a0transportation services<\/a>\u00a0manager at Wright State.<\/p>\n If possible, community members are advised to avoid traveling to campus \u2014 for non-class purposes \u2014 during the first two weeks of the semester at peak traffic hours, weekdays between 9 a.m. and\u00a03 p.m.<\/p>\n Students, faculty and staff driving to campus are asked to give themselves plenty of time to park and arrive at their classes or appointments.<\/p>\n Originally founded as a branch campus of The Ohio State University and Miami University, Wright State became an independent institution in 1967.
