\"\"<\/a>Thirty-eight Wright State physicians and faculty of the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine<\/a> and Wright State Physicians<\/a> were named to the 2017-2018 Best Doctors in America List. They represented 88 percent of the 43 Dayton-area doctors named. One was selected four times; another was selected three times, and four were selected twice in different specialties and subspecialties.<\/p>\n

Five of the 43 physicians are Boonshoft School of Medicine alumni, and nine are alumni of the medical school\u2019s residency programs.<\/p>\n

These leading medical practitioners, researchers and professors are members of a prestigious, peer-reviewed group that includes the top 4 percent of U.S. physicians.<\/p>\n

Best Doctors, Inc., compiles and maintains the list. Founded in 1989 by Harvard Medical School physicians, Best Doctors conducts a physician survey to identify the doctors that other doctors trust most. The list includes more than 50,000 medical experts in some 450 specialties and subspecialties worldwide.<\/p>\n

The Wright State physicians and faculty were named best doctors across a broad range of specialties and subspecialties ranging from infectious disease to pediatric pulmonology.<\/p>\n

Dunn, M.D., dean of the Boonshoft School of Medicine. \u201cWe congratulate the faculty of the Boonshoft School of Medicine, the doctors of Wright State Physicians and our alumni who were named the best doctors in the Dayton area.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine is a community-based medical school affiliated with seven major teaching hospitals in the Dayton area. The medical school educates the next generation of physicians by providing medical education for more than 459 medical students and 458 residents and fellows in 13 specialty areas and 10 subspecialties. Its research enterprise encompasses centers in the basic sciences, epidemiology, public health and community outreach programs. More than 1,500 of the medical school\u2019s 3,328 alumni remain in medical practice in Ohio.<\/p>\n

Wright State Physicians is one of the largest physician-managed multispecialty groups in the Dayton region. Physicians affiliated with the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine offer primary or specialty care in a wide range of specialized diagnostic and treatment services.<\/p>\n
