Danny Keltner<\/p><\/div>\n

Two medical students from the\u00a0Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine<\/a>\u00a0will complete clinical rotations with local physicians\u00a0in West Central Ohio as part of the Wright Rural Health Initiative (WRHI).<\/p>\n

The initiative strives to bolster the health care workforce in rural areas, particularly in West Central Ohio. WRHI works in collaboration with the Wright State University Lake Campus, located in Celina, Ohio, on Grand Lake St. Marys. It provides medical students from the Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio, with opportunities to complete clinical experiences in West Central Ohio.<\/p>\n

Danny Keltner of Germantown, Ohio, is beginning a two-week orthopaedic surgery experience with James E. Kemmler, M.D., of Kemmler Orthopaedic Center in Celina. In March, he will start a four-week general surgery rotation at St. Marys Surgical Associates with K. Lance Bryant, D.O., and Robert D. Keighley, D.O. Keltner completed a clinical rotation in January at Grand Lake Health System in pediatrics with Efren Aganon, M.D., and Thomas Zegarski, M.D. Keltner is a third-year medical student. He earned his bachelor\u2019s degree in biology from Wright State University.<\/p>\n

Dexter Nye of Windsor, Ohio, is beginning a clinical rotation in obstetrics and gynecology at Grand Lake Health System with Polly Train, M.D., and Mohamed El Nemr, M.D. Nye is a third-year medical student. He earned his bachelor\u2019s degree in exercise science at Brigham Young University.<\/p>\n

Both Keltner and Nye also completed clinical rotations in family medicine through the Wright Rural Health Initiative.<\/p>\n

The Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine is a community-based medical school in Dayton, Ohio. The medical school educates the next generation of physicians by providing medical education for more than 459 medical students and 458 residents and fellows in 13 specialty areas and 10 subspecialties. Its research enterprise encompasses centers in the basic sciences, epidemiology, public health and community outreach programs.
