{"id":51520,"date":"2018-04-03T13:06:35","date_gmt":"2018-04-03T17:06:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=51520"},"modified":"2018-04-06T10:06:36","modified_gmt":"2018-04-06T14:06:36","slug":"clean-water-business-wins-entrepreneur-contest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2018\/04\/03\/clean-water-business-wins-entrepreneur-contest\/","title":{"rendered":"Clean water business wins entrepreneur contest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wright Venture is an entrepreneurial opportunity modeled after \u201cShark Tank,\u201d an ABC\u2013TV reality competition series that features aspiring entrepreneurs making business presentations to a panel of potential investors.<\/p>\n<p>Students in the <a href=\"https:\/\/business.wright.edu\/\">Raj Soin College of Business<\/a> devised solutions for everyday problems such as an app that monitors micronutrient levels in pregnant women, an app that combines all of your personal key ring tabs and a device that tackles the world\u2019s clean water problem.<\/p>\n<p>Madzi, LLC, was the winner of the competition and received $5,000 in startup funding. Madzi is a water purifier that kills bacteria and purifies water by using water filters attached to a large bucket.
