More than 2,000 graduating students celebrated at Wright State University’s spring commencement ceremony April 28 in the Wright State Nutter Center. (Photos by Erin Pence and Matt Helton)<\/p><\/div>\n

Wright State University honored more than 2,000 graduating students at its spring commencement ceremony April 28 in the Wright State Nutter Center.<\/p>\n

The spring class of 2018 includes graduates with 1,429 bachelor\u2019s degrees and 602 master\u2019s degrees as well as those awarded associate degrees and post-master\u2019s certificates.<\/p>\n

Graduating students range in age from 19 to 85. The class includes 1,461 students from the 16 counties anchored by Wright State\u2019s Dayton and Lake campuses. Graduates hail from a total of 27 states. The class also includes 202 international students from 34 different nations.<\/p>\n

In her commencement address, President Cheryl B. Schrader called on graduates to be entrepreneurs, innovators and humanitarians.<\/p>\n

“I have seen firsthand your passion for helping others,” Schrader said. “Never forget that one person can make a difference.”<\/p>\n
