Schrader. \u201cWe are all excited to see the Lakers take their talents to the world series.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is the third straight year the Lakers have appeared in the series. Last year, they finished fifth in the tournament after being eliminated in two games the previous year.<\/p>\n<p>The Lakers finished this season with an 18\u201314 overall record after playing a tough schedule against highly ranked opponents such as Cincinnati-Clermont, Cleary and Robert Morris-Peoria as well as NCAA Division III and NAIA schools.<\/p>\n<p>The Lakers are led by juniors Tristan Becker and Zach Kirby, sophomores Dustin Lewis and Carson Shuman, and freshman Conor Schmitt.<\/p>\n<p>Pitchers Kirby and Schuman are atop the USCAA in earned run average with 2.41 and 2.70, respectively.
