{"id":52977,"date":"2018-07-13T10:56:47","date_gmt":"2018-07-13T14:56:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=52977"},"modified":"2018-07-13T10:58:58","modified_gmt":"2018-07-13T14:58:58","slug":"fresh-legs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2018\/07\/13\/fresh-legs\/","title":{"rendered":"Fresh legs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Grant Basile, Skyelar Potter and Malachi Smith have only been on Wright State University\u2019s campus for a few weeks, but they are quickly finding their footing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll of the seniors and upperclassmen have taken us under their wing and shown us what to do,\u201d said Basile, a forward from Wisconsin.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re really getting them ready for their basketball journey and this season because we are really going to need them,\u201d added Mark Hughes, a senior guard.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/wsuraiders.com\/index.aspx?path=mbball\">men&#8217;s basketball team<\/a> has been working out four days a week and lifting weights to prepare for the 2018-2019 season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI enjoy the workouts. They push me to be better every day,\u201d said Potter, a guard from Kentucky. \u201cI\u2019m here to make an impact on the team this year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think Wright State is special. It\u2019s like a family,\u201d\u00a0said Malachi Smith, a guard from Illinois.<\/p>\n<p>The summer workouts conclude July 26.
