Acosta attended an ACE Women\u2019s retreat hosted by Wright State, which inspired her to get more involved.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was thrilled to see the passion and direction of the group,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>The ACE Women\u2019s Network is a national system of networks within each state, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C., with the goal of advancing and supporting women in higher education. The network&#8217;s mission is to facilitate the networking of women interested in pursuing leadership opportunities in higher education.<\/p>\n<p>While Acosta is on the board, she will encourage faculty and staff to get involved as partners across the state to increase the number of women in leadership positions in higher education.<\/p>\n<p>Her involvement with the ACE Women\u2019s Network will not only affect the higher education field,\u00a0it will also\u00a0have a direct impact on Wright State.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cACE shines a light on women interested in pursuing leadership opportunities in higher education and keeps Wright State at the forefront as we continue to grow leadership opportunities for staff and faculty,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her work in the Office for Latinx, Asian and Native American Affairs, Acosta teaches in the <a href=\"https:\/\/education-human-services.wright.edu\/leadership-studies-in-education-and-organizations\">Organizational Leadership Program<\/a> in the <a href=\"https:\/\/education-human-services.wright.edu\/\">College of Education and Human Services<\/a>. She works with several university centers including the Women\u2019s Center, Office of LGBTQA Affairs and the Bolinga Black Cultural Resources Center.
