{"id":54844,"date":"2018-11-15T08:45:52","date_gmt":"2018-11-15T13:45:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=54844"},"modified":"2018-11-14T13:20:11","modified_gmt":"2018-11-14T18:20:11","slug":"from-the-heart","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2018\/11\/15\/from-the-heart\/","title":{"rendered":"From the heart"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the eighth consecutive year, Wright State University students, faculty and staff made \u201cCards for Kids\u201d for patients at Dayton Children\u2019s Hospital on Nov. 8.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it\u2019s great that Wright State supports something like this and encourages its staff, faculty and students to come out and help out in this way,\u201d said Mechelle Wheeler, a junior majoring in early childhood education.<\/p>\n<p>Dozens of volunteers made hand-designed cards during the lunch hour event, which was sponsored by\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wright.edu\/weserveu\/\">We Serve U<\/a>.
