He  started\u00a0 blending oil and making soap after losing his job. &#8220;It was  something I&#8217;ve always wanted to do and thought well now I&#8217;ve got the  time, I&#8217;ll give it a try,&#8221; he said<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s working again and still  making soap, blending oil, and adding in lye\u00a0 then\u00a0 pouring the liquid  into a mold\u00a0 so it can sit for a day. &#8220;I&#8217;ll take it out of the mold,  cut it in half, let it cure for another 24 hours,&#8221; he said.
