{"id":57133,"date":"2016-09-15T09:21:16","date_gmt":"2016-09-15T13:21:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2016\/09\/15\/excellence-in-leadership-classified-3\/"},"modified":"2019-02-12T10:49:15","modified_gmt":"2019-02-12T15:49:15","slug":"excellence-in-leadership-classified-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2016\/09\/15\/excellence-in-leadership-classified-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Excellence in Leadership (Classified)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Judy Grant exemplifies a \u201cdoer\u201d attitude while exhibiting technical, relational and leadership abilities with a caring approach to all that she undertakes.<\/p>\n<p>Grant is the former administrative specialist in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wright.edu\/facilities-management-and-services\/environmental-health-and-safety\">Department of Environmental Health and Safety<\/a> and currently serves as the administrative support coordinator in the <a href=\"http:\/\/medicine.wright.edu\/\">Boonshoft School of Medicine<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>She demonstrates service, leadership and innovation that positively affect the university, said Steve Farrell, director of the Department of Environmental Health and Safety.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/dialogue\/2016\/09\/excellence-in-leadership-classified-3\/17718-presidents-awards-for-excellence-staff-awards-8-22-16-10\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-8339\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-8339\" src=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/dialogue\/files\/2016\/09\/17882_-Judy-Grant-373-234x300.jpg\" alt=\"Judy Grant\" width=\"234\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>During her service in the Department of Environmental Health and Safety, Grant provided website ideas and solutions to staff, created communication tools, including online news articles, and collaborated with colleagues to improve the department&#8217;s training requirement notifications to the university community. Additionally, she measured the effectiveness of these ideas.<\/p>\n<p>She also addressed service requests and complaints with empathy and concern and followed up with them to ensure customer needs were met.<\/p>\n<p>Her service, leadership and innovation go beyond her day job, reaching the campus community.<\/p>\n<p>Grant created and manages the Administrative Team, or A-Team, as a personal goal to learn more about administrative functions at Wright State. Through the A-Team, more than 90 university employees of similar job responsibilities have developed new skills and collaborated on projects.<\/p>\n<p>She also created the Inter-University Council Insurance Consortium Loss Control Committee website.
