The Wright State men\u2019s basketball team defeated Northern Kentucky on Feb. 15. in front of 6,233 fans, the largest crowd for a Wright State basketball\u00a0game this season. But before Raider fans packed the Wright State Nutter Center they first visited the McLin Gym for Raider Roundup.<\/p>\n
Raider Roundup is a pep rally before the most anticipated basketball game of the year. The roundup includes free food, games, music, student performances, sign making and giveaways.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a great opportunity for students all across campus to get together and even community members to just celebrate Wright State pride,\u201d said Holley Mapel, a senior marketing major and event organizer.<\/p>\n
The event was sponsored by the ’67 Society, along with other student organizations like the Student Government Association, the University Activities Board and Miracle Makers.<\/p>\n
Wright State’s men’s and women’s\u00a0basketball teams are in first place in the Horizon League and\u00a0wrap up their regular season home schedule this weekend at the Nutter Center.<\/p>\n
The men\u2019s team hosts Cleveland State on Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. and Youngstown State on Feb. 23 at 3 p.m.<\/p>\n
The women\u2019s team hosts Cleveland State on Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. and \u00a0Youngstown State on Feb. 24 at 2 p.m.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
