{"id":64882,"date":"2019-04-01T11:01:03","date_gmt":"2019-04-01T15:01:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=64882"},"modified":"2019-03-29T13:18:31","modified_gmt":"2019-03-29T17:18:31","slug":"for-our-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2019\/04\/01\/for-our-students\/","title":{"rendered":"For our students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since 1978, Wright State University\u2019s faculty, staff and retirees have invested in students through the annual <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wright.edu\/campus-scholarship-and-innovation-campaign\">Campus Scholarship and Innovation Campaign (CSIC)<\/a>. That long legacy of giving continues with this year\u2019s CSIC, which launched April 1.<\/p>\n<p>The theme of the 2019 campaign is \u201cFor Our Students.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur faculty, staff and retirees have made Wright State the great university that it is today,\u201d said Amy Jones, director of annual giving. \u201cTheir incredible generosity has left a lasting impact on our students. We\u2019re counting on our Wright State family to step up once again and help support our students during this year\u2019s CSIC.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Like any previous CSIC, faculty, staff and retirees may choose among Wright State\u2019s more than 1,900 scholarships and programs when designating their gifts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne hundred percent of their donations will go directly to the funds that they choose,\u201d said Jones. \u201cNo administrative fees are ever taken out of their gifts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?attachment_id=64902\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-64902\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-64902\" src=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2019\/04\/Campus-Scholarship-Innov-campaign-logo-final-260x166.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"260\" height=\"166\" \/><\/a>During last year\u2019s CSIC, 49 percent of Wright State\u2019s full-time faculty and staff participated, contributing nearly $475,000 to scholarships, programs, research and athletics.
