Future Raiders will learn about the many majors, financial aid, housing, student life, the University Honors program and more.<\/p>\n<p>Emily Howard, a sophomore majoring in Sports Science, is one of the many Wright State students who will welcome prospective students and give campus tours. She has a unique perspective, as she attended Raider Open House when she was in high school.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_71029\" style=\"width: 163px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-71029\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-71029\" src=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/files\/2019\/07\/Emily-Howard-Admissions-20138_0265-headshot-crop-153x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"153\" height=\"300\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-71029\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Emily Howard, a sophomore majoring in Sports Science<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cI felt like Raider Open House was the tipping point, where I decided that this was where I wanted to come,\u201d she said. \u201cI had the opportunity to see what my future as a Raider would be like because of the event.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>View the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wright.edu\/sites\/www.wright.edu\/files\/page\/attachments\/ROH%20Online%20Agenda%20July%202019.pdf\">tentative agenda.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s even a Transfer Student Breakfast at 8:30 a.m., as well as a special presentation on Transferring to Wright State.<\/p>\n<p>Breakout sessions will provide in-depth information about academic colleges and departments. Some sessions may include academic building tours, project demonstrations or other interactive activities. Students can even talk one-on-one with faculty members about their academic goals and interests.<\/p>\n<p>Those undecided about a major can attend a presentation on discovering career options with staff from the Division of Student Success.<\/p>\n<p>Future students can fill out an application at the open house, and learn about maximizing earning college credits while still in high school.<\/p>\n<p>Plus, attendees can explore campus and housing options through the eyes of their tour guide, a current Wright State student.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy main goal is to have the same impact on students that the admissions ambassadors had on me,\u201d said Howard. \u201cI want to show them what it\u2019s like to be a student at Wright State, whether it\u2019s sharing my personal experiences or answering questions about Wright State, or college in general.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Parents and students can also learn about Wright State\u2019s tuition guarantee program that will enable students and families to more confidently plan their finances and provide an incentive for graduating on time. It locks in the same annual cost of tuition, housing and dining over a four-year college career for newly admitted, degree-seeking undergraduate students who are Ohio residents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t be afraid or shy to talk with anyone to make sure you\u2019re getting answers to all your questions, no matter how many you have, before you leave,\u201d advised Howard. \u201cAnd take the opportunity to customize the day by seeking out the things you have the most interest in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sessions and tours will be offered at various times during the open house to allow people to personalize their experience and learn more about the topics that interest them most.
