Stuart McDowell, artistic director, the upcoming season features variety to please.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Festival Playhouse<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Sept. 26-Oct. 6<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>&#8220;Peter and the Starcatcher&#8221;<\/strong><br \/>\nA play by Rick Elice<br \/>\nMusic by Wayne Barker<br \/>\nWhere did Peter Pan come from? This family-friendly drama, \ufb01lled with song and dance, is a prequel to J. M. Barrie\u2019s &#8220;Peter and Wendy,&#8221; providing a backstory for the characters of Peter Pan, Mrs. Darling, Tinker Bell and Captain Hook.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oct. 31-Nov. 17<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>&#8220;The Addams Family&#8221;<\/strong><br \/>\nBook: Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice<br \/>\nMusic and lyrics: Andrew Lippa<br \/>\nThis delightful musical comedy depicts a ghoulish American family, living in a haunted house, with an af\ufb01nity for all things macabre.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Feb. 6-16<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>&#8220;The Wolves&#8221;<\/strong><br \/>\nBy Sarah DeLappe, Pulitzer Prize finalist<br \/>\nA young girls\u2019 soccer team warms up to face the large and small challenges of adult life. This play contains adult language and mature subject matter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>March 19-April 12<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>&#8220;Mamma Mia!&#8221;<\/strong><br \/>\nMusic and lyrics by Bj\u00f6rn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson<br \/>\nBook by Catherine Johnson<br \/>\nAudiences will want to put on their boogie shoes to dance to this global smash-hit featuring the music of ABBA.<\/p>\n<p>A limited number of four-show subscription packages, which include &#8220;Peter and the Starcatcher,&#8221; &#8220;The Addams Family,&#8221; &#8220;The Wolves&#8221; and &#8220;Mamma Mia!,&#8221; are still available through the <a href=\"https:\/\/liberal-arts.wright.edu\/theatre-dance-and-motion-pictures\/box-office-and-current-season\">box office website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Single tickets go on sale two weeks prior to the opening of each show online on Sunday at noon, and by phone on Monday at noon at 937-775-2500.<\/p>\n<p>The following shows will also be presented during the season:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nov. 22-Dec. 8, Herbst Theatre<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>&#8220;Into the Woods&#8221;<\/strong><br \/>\nBook by James Lapine<br \/>\nMusic and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim<br \/>\nEveryone\u2019s favorite storybook characters come to life in this Tony Award-winning musical.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Feb. 21-March 1, Herbst Theatre<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>&#8220;An Enemy of the People&#8221;<\/strong><br \/>\nBy Henrik Ibsen<br \/>\nDon\u2019t miss Arthur Miller\u2019s timeless adaptation of an electrifying drama. Will a man of courage stand up to society and the masses when he discovers the city waters are polluted?<\/p>\n<p><strong>April 23-26, Festival Playhouse<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Dance Concert<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Wright State Dance Ensemble presents five world-premiere works.<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Theatre, Dance and Motion Pictures offers a unique undergraduate focus on preparing future professionals in the performing and creative arts, as well as careers that build upon their skills and experience.
