Boonshoft School of Medicine Central Research Forum will showcase biomedical and clinical research<\/p><\/div>\n

The Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine<\/a> Office of Research Affairs will host the annual Central Research Forum on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 4 to 7:30 p.m., at the Wright State Student Union in the Apollo and Endeavour rooms.<\/p>\n

The Central Research Forum<\/a> will include a poster session showcasing biomedical, clinical, medical education and public health research conducted at Wright State. Students and faculty are invited to attend faculty research presentations and network with researchers at the poster session. The interactive poster session will showcase opportunities for collaboration with Boonshoft School of Medicine core facilities, the Statistical Consulting Center and the Office of Medical Education.<\/p>\n

The event will include a timed speaking opportunity, called the \u201cData Blitz,\u201d for students to share their scientific endeavors. Several student participants from various departments will have 90 seconds to get the audience excited about their research and increase traffic to their posters. The research talk portion of the event, beginning at 4 p.m., offers an opportunity for physicians to earn credit for continuing medical education. Physicians interested in credit can register online prior to the event or can sign in at the registration table on the day of the event.<\/p>\n

Several faculty members will present research presentations focused on a range of topics from vascular disease to hypertension:<\/p>\n
