Wright State University has recorded its second highest enrollment in school history, with 19,600 students at the Dayton and Lake campuses this fall.<\/p>\n
The enrollment has resulted in a record number of student credit hours. In addition, the number of high school dual-enrollment students taking classes at Wright State is up over last year.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese extremely strong enrollment numbers and record number of student credit hours show that Wright State continues to be attractive to students looking for a university that offers high quality and a good value,\u201d said Jacqueline McMillan, Ph.D., vice president for enrollment management. \u201cAnd the increasing number of high school students taking classes at Wright State bodes well for the future.\u201d<\/p>\n
The figures are the official unduplicated headcounts taken on the 14th day of classes and reported by all colleges and universities each year to the Ohio Board of Regents.<\/p>\n
Fall 2011 enrollment highlights:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Undergraduate enrollment at the Dayton campus increased 0.3 percent to 14,408 students.<\/p>\n \u2022 University-wide enrollment in the College of Engineering and Computer Sciences increased 39.3 percent to 2,163 students.<\/p>\n \u2022 University-wide, non-degree seeking, dual-enrollment students increased 11.8 percent.<\/p>\n Wright State, a research university with among the lowest tuition rates in Ohio, offers 110 associate and bachelor degree programs and 76 graduate and professional programs spread among its 10 schools and colleges.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Wright State University has recorded its second highest enrollment in school history… Continue reading
