{"id":79883,"date":"2019-12-19T08:00:34","date_gmt":"2019-12-19T13:00:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=79883"},"modified":"2019-12-19T14:49:52","modified_gmt":"2019-12-19T19:49:52","slug":"high-rank","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2019\/12\/19\/high-rank\/","title":{"rendered":"High rank"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the second time in in the last four years, Kurt Holden has received a well-deserved promotion from the Wright State University Police Department.<\/p>\n<p>In 2015 Holden was promoted to sergeant and on Dec. 18 during a brief ceremony in the Wright State Student Union, his wife and kids pinned a lieutenant badge to his uniform.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKurt has always been involved in the campus community, and I know that it\u2019s one of his passions,\u201d said David Finnie, Wright State police chief.<\/p>\n<p>As lieutenant, Holden will command the university\u2019s Patrol Division and oversee the police sergeants.<\/p>\n<p>Holden has received numerous awards during his career at Wright State including the Mark Losey Ohio Distinguished Law Enforcement Award, a Presidents Award for Excellence in Leadership and a Blue Coat Award for service to emancipated foster students.<\/p>\n<p>Holden serves as a coach and a mentor to foster youths in the Independent Scholars Network.
