I-O psychologists conduct research aimed at improving employee performance and well-being. Many I-O psychologists work in applied settings, where they help organizations develop hiring practices, training programs, and feedback and management systems.<\/p>\n<p>Bowling was recognized for his contributions in three research areas \u2014 occupational health psychology, which deals with improving the health and well-being of employees; <a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2015\/01\/21\/misbehavior-in-the-workplace\/\">counterproductive work behavior<\/a> such as lying, cheating and stealing within the workplace; and improving the quality of <a href=\"http:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2019\/01\/17\/if-you-ask-me\/\">self-report questionnaires<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Bowling has authored or co-authored 52 peer-reviewed journal articles and 12 book chapters.
