Technology and capabilities from Wright State University, the Wright State Research Institute and the National Center for Medical Readiness (NCMR) are on display in downtown Dayton this week at the TechNet-Aero Conference and Trade Show.<\/p>\n

Elected officials, senior military officers and aerospace and defense industry executives gathered around demonstrations and displays at today\u2019s opening of the trade show portion of the four-day event, produced by the Dayton-Wright Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) and held in the Dayton Convention Center.<\/p>\n

Approximately 30 Wright State and Wright State Research Institute researchers gave them a glimpse of cutting-edge technology, research capabilities and training facilities ranging from neuromedical imaging, advanced visualization and unmanned aerial systems research to NCMR\u2019s Calamityville training and research facility.<\/p>\n

The trade show is a great opportunity for the university and its research institute to show what it is accomplishing in collaboration with government and industry partners, said S. Narayanan, Ph.D., executive director of the Wright State Research Institute and dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Sciences.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are making a lot of strides in terms of research, in terms of technology commercialization, in terms of economic impact, and we\u2019re very, very excited\u201d to have a presence at TechNet-Aero, he said in an interview with news media at the trade show.<\/p>\n
