The Wright State University Foundation has received over $28 thousand in donations to help contribute to the university\u2019s student emergency relief campaign.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Wright State is allowing students to begin applying for grants through Wright State\u2019s Emergency Relief Fund if they have been negatively impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are so grateful for the support provided by our Wright State family during this unprecedented time,” Bill Bigham, interim vice president for advancement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cOur students\u2019 lives have been turned upside down by this pandemic.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n

So far, 379 donors have given the university $28,254 and the Wright State University Foundation has contributed $3,000 in challenge grants, according to a release.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The grants offer a one-time support to students currently enrolled at the Dayton or Lake campuses.<\/p>\n

\n

Students who find themselves in need of financial assistance with food, toiletries, medications, travel expenses from when they returned home, or other things not listed may apply online.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cOur Division of Student Affairs will be reviewing applications as quickly as they can so we can get this much-needed funding to our students as soon as possible,\u201d Bigham said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Wright State is accepting donations for the relief fund through April 17.<\/p>\n
