Genessa Merritt, a nurse practitioner and director of Student Health Services<\/a> at Wright State University, would like students and parents to know that the staff has students’ health and safety foremost in mind.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted to take extra steps so that students are comfortable and parents are comfortable,\u201d said Merritt.<\/p>\n

If students feel ill while they\u2019re on-campus and have developed a fever, cough, or have experienced shortness of breath, students should contact Student Health Services at Wright State Physicians at 937-245-7200 or their local doctor.<\/p>\n

Student Health Services has adopted new procedures at its office. All students must call or text the office from their car or parking lot when they arrive for their appointments. They will be greeted at the front door and then escorted to their exam room.<\/p>\n

All visitors are required to wear a mask when entering the building. Hand sanitizer stations and social distance markers occupy the lobby and waiting areas.<\/p>\n

Along with face-to-face visits, Student Health Services now offers tele-health appointments.<\/p>\n
