{"id":93345,"date":"2020-08-24T10:57:16","date_gmt":"2020-08-24T14:57:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=93345"},"modified":"2020-08-24T13:53:39","modified_gmt":"2020-08-24T17:53:39","slug":"tables-of-content","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2020\/08\/24\/tables-of-content\/","title":{"rendered":"Tables of content"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/libraries.wright.edu\/erc\/\">Charles and Renate Frydman Educational Resource Center (ERC)<\/a> at Wright State University has moved to the second floor of Dunbar Library.<\/p>\n<p>A group of nine University Libraries employees and facilities staff moved materials beginning in July, carting books and shelving from the ERC in Allyn Hall to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.libraries.wright.edu\/\">Dunbar Library<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy Fitbit has been vibrating at 10 a.m. every morning to let me know that I have my steps for the day,\u201d said Marty Jenkins, head of content acquisitions management for University Libraries.<\/p>\n<p>Each trip takes around 30 minutes to complete. Jenkins estimates that 55 carts were loaded up and transported through the tunnels.<\/p>\n<p>The Educational Resource Center is an academic support unit of the <a href=\"https:\/\/education-human-services.wright.edu\/\">College of Education and Human Services<\/a>. Its mission is to provide intellectual and physical access to current state-of-the-art materials, equipment and services.<\/p>\n<p>The ERC&#8217;s collection contains about 19,000 items, including materials for teacher education for K\u201312 learning. The materials include textbooks, kits, games, toys, puppets and puzzles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe collection is fabulous,\u201d said Sue Polanka, university librarian. \u201cWe have a frog in formaldehyde, we also have a jar of bugs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The collection also is the home of the Dayton Holocaust Resource Center, which includes donated artifacts and artwork.<\/p>\n<p>The move combines a small 5,000-book literature collection in use in the Dunbar Library.
