{"id":94035,"date":"2020-08-26T13:10:16","date_gmt":"2020-08-26T17:10:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=94035"},"modified":"2020-08-27T09:05:38","modified_gmt":"2020-08-27T13:05:38","slug":"model-officer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2020\/08\/26\/model-officer\/","title":{"rendered":"Model officer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Knights of Columbus honored Wright State police officer Zachary Norman with the Officer of the Year Blue Coat Award on Aug. 25.<\/p>\n<p>Norman was presented with a resolution from the Greene County Board of Commissioners along with a congratulations letter from the Ohio Senate, honoring him for Outstanding Attainment.<\/p>\n<p>David Finnie, Wright State&#8217;s chief of police, also presented Norman with the Blue Coat Officer of the Year Ribbon to wear on his uniform.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m very grateful for it. I\u2019m honored,\u201d said Norman.<\/p>\n<p>Norman has been a full-time sworn officer since 2007. He serves in the Wright State Patrol Division as an officer in charge on first shift. He is also the support services officer.
