{"id":96651,"date":"2020-10-13T09:06:39","date_gmt":"2020-10-13T13:06:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/?p=96651"},"modified":"2020-10-14T09:07:58","modified_gmt":"2020-10-14T13:07:58","slug":"black-voices-light-up-the-night","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/webapp2.wright.edu\/web1\/newsroom\/2020\/10\/13\/black-voices-light-up-the-night\/","title":{"rendered":"Black voices light up the night"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Black Student Union hosted a Black Voices Matter Rally followed by a candlelight vigil on Oct. 8 on the North Lawn.<\/p>\n<p>The rally featured speakers, poets, musical performances, special guests and information about racial injustice and voting in the Nov. 3 election. A candlelight vigil recognizing 50 victims of police violence followed the rally.<\/p>\n<p>The Black Student Union planned a peaceful event with dozens of Wright State students in attendance.
