The Ohio Department of Development has recognized Wright State’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) with the 2010 Center Performance Award for best performance out of 38 centers throughout Ohio. Wright State received the award for its client interactions and the number of hours devoted to helping start-up businesses and growth of existing small businesses.
The Department of Development also awarded Region IV with the 2010 Regional Performance Award for best performing region out of the 12 regions in the state. Wright State’s SBDC is the lead center for centers in region IV, representing a nine-county area in southwest Ohio. The award recognizes the outstanding productivity of the centers in region IV, including Springfield SBDC, The Entrepreneur’s Center, the SBDC at Edison State Community College and the International Trade Assistance Center. Productivity was measured by their ability to efficiently coordinate client counseling and training.
Each award was based on data collected on overall customer interactions and counseling sessions throughout the 2010 fiscal year.
