Pantries are a way to help students stay in school longer, said Rebecca Fensler, who coordinates a pantry at Wright State University in Dayton, where many students are the first in their families to attend college.
Wright State launched its food pantry for students last year, and Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland has had one for a number of years.
