FAIRBORN — Every year, 150-thousand amputation are performed. Some of those are our veterans.
Often times the prosthetics are uncomfortable and even painful. But a group of students at Wright State University are working on ways to improve the feel of an artificial limb.
“I would just love to run, endurance I used to run through 90 acres of my father’s farm just run I’ve never been able to do that since,” said Michael Stewart, lost his leg at age 17.
Stewart has a prosthetic but doesn’t wear it often because he says it gets in the way.
