Ohio boasts more resources for trauma care than many states, but could be operated more effectively. That was the word from a panel of local experts at Wright State University.
The state trauma system needs more cohesion between hospital networks, as well as local emergency responders and state agencies, said moderator Dr. Mark Gebhart, associate professor at Wright State’s Boonshoft School of Medicine.
He and a group of local experts discussed the positioning of trauma centers locally, as well as changes in trauma care following 9/11 and other disasters, at a forum at Wright State.
