Local terror experts are watching the turmoil in Iraq with keen eyes. What if the United States gets involved in the warring factions battling over regions in Iraq? Markets are vulnerable if the crisis deepens and experts say oil prices will be higher, at least in the short term.
Wright State professor Dr. Vaughn Shannon believes we cannot afford for Al Qaeda to become more powerful.
“Until somebody solves it, it will continue and America wanted out and we are out, so you can stay out of an area that you care about long term,” said Dr. Shannon. “I don’t think we can afford to let Iraq fall to that.”
