Ten deployments with the United States Army have taken Ret. Col. Larry James around the world. He’s been the top psychologist at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and served in high-level psychology positions at The Pentagon, Guantanamo Bay Naval Base and Abu Ghraib.
With those experiences, James, now a disabled veteran, is prepared to help military veterans transition into the world of higher education.
Now in a newly created position as associate vice president for military affairs at Wright State University, James told me he’s got eyes on helping vets succeed in Dayton, and wants to strengthen the school’s relationships with the Dayton VA Medical Center and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
