Wright State University President David R. Hopkins and Dan Krane, president of Wright State Faculty, published a column “Value of college increases in Ohio” in the Youngstown Vindicator.
“Never before has the value of a college education been questioned more,” they wrote. “With tuition and student debt on the rise, many have posed the question: Is a college education really worth the expense? The answer is a resounding yes.
“Over a lifetime, individuals with a bachelor’s degree make 84 percent more than those with only a high school diploma. And those numbers improve even further for individuals with master’s, doctoral and other professional degrees.”
